Three accused break police station grill, flee; two officers suspended in Kotputli

Three suspects smashed the grill of the Bahadur police station in Kotputli and escaped, leading the senior superintendent to suspend two officers for negligence while two other ASIs were ordered to report for disciplinary action. Two of the fugitives were later re‑arrested.
Kotputli, Rajasthan – In the early hours of Monday, three accused individuals forced open the grill of the Bahadur police station's reception area and fled the premises. The breach was captured on the station's CCTV, showing the suspects using force to dismantle the metal barrier before escaping on foot.
The senior superintendent (SP) of the Kotputli district responded by suspending two police personnel, including an Assistant Sub‑Inspector (ASI), citing gross negligence in securing the station. Two additional ASIs were instructed to appear before the disciplinary board for a line‑attendance hearing.
Law enforcement agencies launched a manhunt and, within a day, succeeded in recapturing two of the three fugitives. The third suspect remains at large, and the investigation continues to determine how the security lapse occurred and to prevent similar incidents in the future.
The incident has raised concerns about police station security protocols in the region, prompting calls for a review of standard operating procedures and enhanced training for frontline officers.
