A social media threat against Juna Akhada’s national president Mahant Mohan Bharati before the Mahadev Shahi Sawari in Ujjain prompted police to register an FIR, trace the offender via the cyber cell and arrest him in Betul.
Ujjain witnessed a serious security breach when a threatening message was posted on social media targeting Mahant Mohan Bharati, the national president of the Juna Akhada, ahead of the Mahadev Shahi Sawari, a traditional royal procession that marks the deity's final ceremonial ride.
The Madhya Pradesh police responded promptly, filing a First Information Report (FIR) after the threat was brought to their attention. Leveraging the state's cyber crime cell, investigators traced the digital footprint of the perpetrator and identified the individual responsible.
The suspect was subsequently apprehended in Betul, a district town in the same state, confirming the effectiveness of the coordinated police effort. Authorities confirmed that the arrest was carried out without incident and that the case will proceed through the regular legal process.
