The Indian Express released an editorial titled 'In democracy’s journey to future, Gandhi is the wise guide and co-traveller', underscoring the enduring relevance of Gandhi’s principles in shaping India's democratic path.
Recently, The Indian Express published an editorial that draws a parallel between India’s democratic evolution and the teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The piece, titled "In democracy’s journey to future, Gandhi is the wise guide and co-traveller," frames Gandhi as a timeless mentor for contemporary governance.
The editorial argues that Gandhi’s emphasis on non-violence, truth, and inclusive participation remains a touchstone for policy makers and citizens alike. It suggests that the nation’s democratic trajectory can benefit from revisiting these principles in the face of modern challenges.
By positioning Gandhi as both guide and companion, the article invites readers to reflect on how his legacy can inform present-day decision making and civic engagement. It calls for a renewed commitment to the values that have historically underpinned India’s democratic ethos.
