Thar‑riding youths assault cab driver and family in Jaipur’s Khora Baisal area

A group of young men on Thar motorcycles attacked a cab driver and his relatives in the Khora Baisal locality of Jaipur after the driver refused to give way.
Jaipur police received a complaint that a cab driver and his family were assaulted in the Khora Baisal area of the city. The incident occurred when the driver allegedly refused to give way to a group of young men riding Thar motorcycles.
The assailants reportedly used hockey sticks to beat the victims, broke parts of the cab, and at one point pointed a pistol at a young man in the group. The violence escalated quickly, leaving the driver and his relatives injured.
Local police registered a case of assault and attempted intimidation, and an investigation has been launched to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby streets to trace the motorcycles involved.
Authorities have urged the public to cooperate with the investigation and warned that such acts of mob violence will be dealt with strictly under the law.
