A black Mahindra Thar SUV was seen cutting across lanes on the Dwarka Expressway when it struck a motorcycle travelling in the same direction. The impact injured both the rider and the pillion passenger, who were wearing helmets at the time of the collision.
According to eyewitnesses, the Thar driver did not stop to render assistance and fled the scene immediately after the crash.
Delhi police arrived shortly after the incident, registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and recorded the registration number of the Thar for further investigation.
The two motorcyclists sustained injuries that were not life‑threatening, and they were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities have appealed to the public for any additional information that could help locate the driver and ensure that appropriate legal action is taken.
