The state government of Telangana announced that the allocation of its affordable housing flats in Hyderabad will be decided through a lottery system beginning on August 27. The draw will be broadcast live, allowing applicants and the public to witness the selection process in real time.
The scheme, aimed at providing low‑cost residential units to eligible citizens, has attracted considerable interest since its launch. Applicants were required to register online and meet the income and eligibility criteria set by the housing authority.
