The SIR forms, which are used for property registration and related transactions, have traditionally been processed on paper. The digitisation effort, carried out by the Telangana State Information Technology Department, now allows most of these forms to be submitted and processed online.
Officials say the move will reduce processing time, cut down on paperwork, and increase transparency for citizens and businesses. Citizens can now file, track, and receive approvals for SIR-related matters through the state’s e-governance portal.
This achievement is part of the broader Digital Telangana initiative, which aims to bring all government services online and make public administration more efficient and accessible.
