The Telangana Medical Council carried out raids on four clinics alleged to be operating without qualified medical personnel, seizing equipment and lodging complaints against the operators.

The Telangana Medical Council (TMC) launched coordinated raids on four separate clinics across the state after receiving complaints that the facilities were being run by individuals lacking recognized medical qualifications. Inspectors entered each premises, documented the absence of certified doctors, and confiscated medical equipment that could be used for patient care.

TMC officials said the raids were part of a broader effort to curb illegal medical practice, which poses serious risks to public health. The council has filed formal complaints with local law‑enforcement agencies, seeking prosecution of the alleged unqualified practitioners under the Indian Medical Act.

The council has urged patients to verify the credentials of any healthcare provider and warned that operating a clinic without a valid medical registration is a punishable offence. Further investigations are underway to determine whether additional clinics are involved.
