The Telangana administration has disbursed two installments of dearness allowance and dearness relief to its employees and pensioners, according to a Livemint report.

The state government of Telangana announced that it has released two separate installments of dearness allowance (DA) and dearness relief for its salaried employees and pensioners. The payments are part of the regular adjustments made to offset inflationary pressures on government wages and pensions. The installments were credited to the accounts of eligible staff and retirees on the dates stipulated by the finance department.

According to the announcement, the DA and relief amounts are calculated based on the latest consumer price index figures, ensuring that the purchasing power of government workers is maintained. The disbursement covers all categories of state employees, including teaching and non-teaching staff, as well as retired personnel receiving pension benefits.

The move aligns with the central government's broader policy of periodic DA revisions and reflects Telangana's commitment to timely financial relief for its workforce. Officials indicated that future adjustments will follow the same methodology, pending further inflation data.

Livemint reported the development, noting that the timely release of these funds is expected to provide immediate financial support to thousands of government employees and pensioners across the state.
