Telangana Chief Minister KTR has requested a probe into the Rs 2,059‑crore tender for the PM Ekta Mall project in Hyderabad, citing concerns over the procurement process.
K. T. Rama Rao (KTR), the Chief Minister of Telangana, has formally asked the state government to investigate the Rs 2,059‑crore tender awarded for the PM Ekta Mall project in Hyderabad.
The tender, which was awarded to a private developer, has drawn scrutiny after allegations surfaced that the bidding process may not have adhered to standard procurement norms. KTR’s request comes amid growing public demand for transparency in large infrastructure projects.
In a statement, the CM said that a detailed audit would help identify any irregularities and ensure that public funds are used appropriately. He also urged the relevant authorities to expedite the review.
The state’s Department of Public Works has acknowledged the request and said it will convene a committee to examine the tender documents and the selection criteria used by the procurement team.
