The education departments of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have released the official school holiday calendar for 2026, listing the specific dates on which schools will remain closed.
The education ministries of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh issued a joint notification today outlining the school holiday schedule for the year 2026. The circular lists the exact dates when all government‑run and recognised private schools in the two states will be closed.
The announced calendar aligns school breaks with national holidays, regional festivals and the academic examination timetable, aiming to provide a predictable routine for students, teachers and parents. By synchronising the holidays across both states, authorities hope to minimise disruption to the academic calendar.
Parents and school administrators have been advised to circulate the schedule among students and staff promptly, allowing families to plan travel, cultural activities and study periods well in advance. The departments will monitor any unforeseen circumstances that may require additional closures and will communicate updates through official channels.
