Teachers have resumed protests demanding additional recruitment vacancies, while the education department maintains that no extra posts were approved after the recent results.

Teachers across the region have continued their demonstration, pressing the authorities to announce more recruitment positions for school staff. The protest, which began after the release of the latest recruitment results, has seen participants gather outside the department office, holding placards and chanting slogans for increased vacancies.
The education department, however, has responded that the recent result declaration did not include any provision for additional posts. Officials said the number of positions was fixed prior to the examination and that no further recruitment can be sanctioned without a formal amendment.
Stakeholders warned that the stalemate could affect the staffing of schools, potentially impacting the quality of education. Both sides have called for dialogue, but no concrete resolution has been announced as of now.
