Nominations for the biennial Saran teacher constituency election will run from Sep 29 to Oct 6, with voting scheduled at 98 polling stations on Oct 23.
The biennial election for the Saran teacher constituency in Bihar has announced its timetable. Nominations will be accepted from 29 September through 6 October, after which the list of candidates will be finalized.
A total of 10,743 registered teacher voters are expected to cast their ballots on 23 October across 98 designated polling stations within the constituency.
Following the polling day, a verification process, known as sanvikshe, is slated for 7 October to confirm the eligibility of the candidates and the integrity of the voter list. The counting of votes is scheduled for 27 October, after which the elected representative will assume office.
The election, overseen by the Bihar School Teachers’ Association, is part of the regular cycle that determines representation for teachers in the district’s educational governance structures.
