Class‑2 and Class‑3 teacher aspirants in Bhopal have been on a ten‑day hunger strike, demanding an increase in vacancies and sending blood‑written letters to the chief minister and education minister after no government representative met them.

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh – Candidates awaiting recruitment for Class‑2 and Class‑3 teaching posts have been observing a hunger strike for ten consecutive days. The protestors are pressing the state government to raise the number of vacancies announced for these categories, arguing that the current allocation is insufficient to meet the demand for teachers.

The agitators said that despite repeated requests, no official from the education department or the chief minister's office has visited the site to negotiate. Frustrated by the silence, they drafted letters on paper stained with their own blood and addressed them to the chief minister and the state education minister, symbolising the intensity of their grievance.

The hunger strike, organized by a coalition of teacher‑candidate groups, continues to draw attention from local media and civil society. While the protest remains peaceful, the participants have warned that they will extend their fast if their demand for additional posts is not addressed promptly.

State authorities have not yet issued a formal response, and the situation remains under close observation as the deadline for the recruitment process approaches.
