TCS probationers visited an Assam Rifles post in Tripura to gain firsthand insight into the regiment’s role in maintaining regional security.
TCS’s newly recruited probationers made a short trip to an Assam Rifles post in Tripura as part of their orientation program. The visit, held on Tuesday, allowed the trainees to observe the daily routines of the regiment’s personnel and the infrastructure that supports border patrols in the region.
The Assam Rifles, a paramilitary force tasked with maintaining security along India’s northeastern frontier, explained how its teams conduct surveillance, conduct joint exercises with local police and respond to insurgent threats. The probationers were shown the communication systems and the logistical support that keeps the force operational in remote areas.
The tour highlighted the regiment’s importance in safeguarding Tripura’s borders with Bangladesh and in maintaining internal stability. By seeing the force in action, the TCS trainees gained a clearer understanding of how security agencies collaborate with corporate entities for national development.
The visit was part of TCS’s broader initiative to expose new employees to key national institutions, helping them appreciate the role of defence and security in India’s growth trajectory.
