Tanker hits children outside Vendas International School, Indore; 1 dead, 1 critical

Indore police reported that a tanker traveling at high speed struck two school‑going children outside Vendas International School on Chhota Bangarda Road. The impact crushed both youngsters; one child was pronounced dead at the spot while the second was rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition.

Eyewitnesses said the vehicle was moving far beyond the permissible speed limit for the area. After the collision, the driver allegedly abandoned the tanker and fled, prompting a police chase that later resulted in the registration of a criminal case for hit‑and‑run.
