The plant, once operational, will add a substantial 1.6 GW of capacity to the regional grid, helping to stabilise supply during peak load periods. Officials expect the additional power to support both domestic consumption and the state’s expanding manufacturing sector.
Under the PPP model, a private entity will be responsible for financing, constructing and operating the facility, while the government will provide land and regulatory clearances.
