The Tamil Nadu government has extended its breakfast scheme to include middle school students and renamed the programme in honour of former Chief Minister K. Kamarajar.
The Tamil Nadu government announced that its breakfast scheme will now be extended to students in middle schools across the state.
Under the scheme, eligible students will be provided breakfast at the start of the school day.
As part of the announcement, the programme has been renamed after K. Kamarajar, recognising his contributions to education and social welfare in Tamil Nadu.
Officials said the expansion aims to reach more children and improve attendance and concentration in classrooms.
