The chief minister urged district authorities to activate emergency response teams, clear drainage channels, and ensure that relief shelters are ready. He also recommended that residents in flood‑prone zones stay informed through local alerts and avoid unnecessary travel during heavy downpours.
State officials are monitoring weather patterns closely and will coordinate with the Indian Meteorological Department to issue timely warnings. The warning comes as the state also anticipates extreme heatwaves next year, underscoring the need for comprehensive climate resilience measures.
