Suspicious Drone‑like Objects Near Amritsar Airport Prompt Diversion of Seven Flights

Authorities reported that unidentified aerial objects resembling drones were observed in the vicinity of Amritsar Airport. The sighting triggered an immediate security alert, prompting the airport’s control tower to coordinate with airlines and air traffic controllers. As a precaution, seven scheduled flights destined for or departing from Amritsar were rerouted to Delhi and Chandigarh airports. Passengers were informed and the diversions were carried out without reported injuries.
