Surya Kumar Yadav Dropped from Mumbai Ranji Squad, Ayush Mahatre Named Vice‑Captain

The Mumbai Ranji team announced a change in its playing roster, confirming that Surya Kumar Yadav has been dropped from the squad. The decision was communicated by the team management ahead of the upcoming domestic season.

In his place, the team has elevated young cricketer Ayush Mahatre to the position of vice‑captain. Mahatre, who has been part of the Mumbai setup, will now assume greater leadership responsibilities on the field.

The move signals a shift towards integrating younger talent into key roles as the Mumbai side prepares for its campaign in the Ranji Trophy.
