The opening‑day box‑office collection of Suriya's new movie crossed Rs 17 crore, according to early figures reported by The Indian Express.
Suriya's latest release has recorded a strong start at the domestic box office, with early estimates indicating a collection exceeding Rs 17 crore on its first day. The figures, compiled by trade analysts and reported by The Indian Express, reflect robust audience turnout across major metros and smaller towns alike.
The film, starring the veteran Tamil actor, benefitted from extensive promotional activities and a wide release strategy that covered both single‑screen theatres and multiplexes. While final numbers will be confirmed later, the early data suggests the movie is on track to become one of the highest‑grossing openings of the year.
Industry observers note that such a performance underscores the star power of Suriya and the growing appetite for regional cinema among Indian audiences. The box‑office tally will be updated as more comprehensive data becomes available.
