Surat Medical Store Owner Arrested for Repackaging Animal Feed as Children’s Liver Tonic

Surat police arrested a medical shop owner after a probe revealed that he had repackaged a veterinary liver tonic into 60 ml ‘Liv 52’ bottles and marketed them as a children’s supplement. According to officials, the owner sold roughly 1,000 of these bottles over the course of a year, earning close to ten times the original cost. The bottles bore counterfeit dosage stickers, misleading parents about the product’s safety and intended use. Police seized the fake bottles and seized the owner’s inventory, and the case is now under investigation for fraud and consumer protection violations.
