The Supreme Court has directed the central government to reduce the qualifying percentile for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Super Specialty courses (NEET-SS) from its earlier level to 30 percent. Following the court's ruling, Tamil Nadu will regain 40 seats that had remained vacant under the previous percentile framework. State officials welcomed the decision, noting that the restored seats will help meet the demand for super‑specialty medical training in the region.
