Students in Ranchi have escalated their protest over alleged exam irregularities, vowing to intensify a hunger strike unless the government orders a CBI probe. They also plan a march to the Vidhan Sabha.
Students from several colleges in Ranchi gathered on the campus of the local university on Monday to protest what they say are irregularities in the recent state board examinations. The demonstrators, many of whom are in their final year, claim that the results were tampered with and that the examination process was compromised.
The protestors have issued a clear ultimatum: the government must order a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter. If the demand is not met, they say they will intensify their hunger strike, which has already been ongoing for several days.
