Street Vendors Federation Raises Concerns Over Town Vending Committees in Andhra Pradesh

The Street Vendors Federation (SVF) has formally raised concerns about irregularities in the functioning of town vending committees across Andhra Pradesh. The committees, which are meant to regulate street vending and ensure fair practices, have reportedly been operating without full transparency and adherence to established guidelines. SVF’s spokesperson said the irregularities could undermine the rights of vendors and distort local commerce. The federation has called for an independent audit and a review of committee procedures to restore accountability.
