A stray bull in Bairad village, Shivpuri district, suddenly attacked 14‑year‑old Saloni Ojha, lifting her with its horns and throwing her several feet away. The incident was captured on CCTV and the girl was taken to the district hospital after primary treatment.

Shivpuri district authorities reported that a stray bull entered the premises of a residence in Bairad village and abruptly charged at 14‑year‑old Saloni Ojha. Witnesses said the animal seized her by the shoulders with its horns, lifted her off the ground and flung her several feet away, causing serious injuries.

Security cameras installed nearby recorded the entire episode, providing clear visual evidence of the sudden assault. Emergency responders arrived promptly, administered first‑aid at the scene, and then transferred the girl to the district hospital for further medical care.

Local police have opened an inquiry to determine the circumstances that led the bull to roam freely and to assess whether any negligence contributed to the incident. Meanwhile, officials have urged residents to report stray livestock and to keep animals secured to prevent similar attacks.

The incident has sparked concern among villagers, who fear that unrestrained cattle pose a growing risk in rural areas. Animal welfare groups have called for stronger enforcement of existing livestock management regulations.

Saloni's condition remains under observation, and her family has thanked the rescuers for their swift response.
