A violent clash broke out in Bilaspur after anti‑Hindu remarks, with stone‑throwing and damage to several houses and shops.
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, witnessed a sudden outbreak of violence on Tuesday when two groups clashed over remarks perceived as anti‑Hindu. The dispute quickly escalated, leading to stone‑pelting in the streets of the city centre.
Witnesses reported that the mob hurled stones at each other, and in the ensuing chaos several residential houses and commercial shops were vandalised. Windows were smashed, doors broken and shopfronts damaged as the confrontation spread across the neighbourhood.
