Security forces of the Special Task Force (STF) dismantled a Naxal stronghold in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, during a coordinated raid that led to the seizure of weapons and the arrest of several insurgents.
The Special Task Force (STF) carried out a surprise operation in the remote areas of Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh, on Thursday, targeting a known Naxal hideout. According to officials, the camp housed a cadre of insurgents who had been active in the region for several years.
During the raid, STF teams seized a cache of arms, including rifles, ammunition and improvised explosive devices. Several Naxalites were taken into custody, while the rest fled into the surrounding forested terrain.
Chhattisgarh Police spokespersons said the operation was part of an ongoing campaign to dismantle Naxal networks in the state. The STF’s swift action is expected to disrupt insurgent activities in the Bijapur area.
