A joint team of Uttar Pradesh STF and Maharashtra police arrested two wanted men in Prayagraj, linking them to the shooting death of Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Pradeep Purnekar in Thane, Maharashtra.

According to officials, the operation was the result of a multi‑state investigation that traced the accused from Maharashtra to Uttar Pradesh. The STF team, supported by Maharashtra officers, executed a raid at a residence in Prayagraj where the two wanted individuals were hiding.
