State Clarifies BPL Card Cancellation Confusion, Only Ineligible Holders Affected

The Civil Supplies Department has issued a clarification to address recent confusion over the cancellation of Below Poverty Line (BPL) cards in the state. It stated that the revocation will be limited to cards belonging to individuals who are not eligible or who have breached the scheme’s regulations.
According to the department, a systematic verification process will be undertaken to identify ineligible cardholders and those found violating the eligibility criteria. Only those specific cards will be cancelled, while the rest of the beneficiary list will remain unchanged.
