A Scheduled Tribes body has called for official visits to remote tribal villages and demanded that development plans be set with clear timelines.

The Scheduled Tribes (ST) body has formally requested that government officials conduct visits to remote tribal villages across the country. In its statement, the body highlighted the need for on‑ground assessments to gauge the effectiveness of existing schemes.

It urged state governments and relevant agencies to dispatch dedicated teams to these areas and to prepare development plans that are bound by specific time frames. The body emphasized that clear deadlines are essential for monitoring progress and ensuring accountability.

The initiative aims to address the chronic neglect of isolated tribal hamlets, ensuring that central and state welfare programs reach the intended beneficiaries. By focusing on infrastructure, health, and education, the body hopes to accelerate socio‑economic upliftment in these regions.

The ST body also indicated that it will conduct periodic reviews of the implementation status, seeking corrective action wherever delays are identified.
