MLA Srinivas Goud has publicly accused the Telangana state government of failing to secure the state's allotted share of water from the Tungabhadra river.

Srinivas Goud, a member of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, said the state has not been able to obtain its entitled portion of water from the Tungabhadra river, a vital source for irrigation and drinking water.
He alleged that the government's negotiations with the central authorities and neighboring states have fallen short, leaving Telangana farmers and urban consumers at risk of water shortages.
The Tungabhadra water allocation has been a recurring point of contention among states sharing the river basin, and Goud urged the administration to take more aggressive steps to protect the state's interests.
As of now, the Telangana government has not issued an official response to the accusations, and the matter is expected to surface in upcoming legislative discussions.
