Former opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth sharply criticised the Indian side under Gautam Gambhir, while fellow analyst Vaibhav Sooryavanshi appeared less confident in the team's prospects.
Former Indian cricketer Krishnamachari Srikkanth took to the media to voice strong disapproval of the current Indian side led by Gautam Gambhir. He questioned the team's recent performances and urged a reassessment of strategies ahead of upcoming fixtures. Srikkanth's remarks highlighted concerns over batting depth and fielding standards, suggesting that the side has not lived up to expectations.
In parallel, former player Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, also a regular commentator, appeared noticeably less confident when discussing India's prospects. His subdued tone reflected doubts about the squad's ability to compete at the highest level in the near term.
Both analysts, known for their candid commentary, underscored the need for immediate corrective measures if India is to regain its dominant position in world cricket. Their observations come as the team prepares for a series of international engagements later this year.
