Spotify has introduced a dedicated 'Haryanvi 101' playlist after data showed that listening to Haryanvi tracks in India has doubled over the past twelve months.
Spotify India rolled out a new curated collection called “Haryanvi 101”, aimed at listeners who want a focused introduction to the state’s popular music. The playlist brings together classic folk, contemporary rap and chart‑topping tracks that represent the evolving soundscape of Haryana.
The move follows internal data that indicate streaming of Haryanvi‑language songs has risen by roughly 100 % in the last twelve months, outpacing many other regional genres. Spotify says the growth reflects a broader appetite for local content among Indian users.
