Variety reports that the new Spider‑Man film 'Brand New Day' has taken the lead at the box office, overtaking the horror sequel 'Insidious 6'.
Variety’s latest box‑office update shows that the recently released Spider‑Man title "Brand New Day" has moved into the top spot, surpassing the horror franchise entry "Insidious 6".
The trade publication notes that audience footfall for the superhero film has outperformed the competing horror sequel during the current reporting period.
Both movies opened in the same week across major Indian multiplexes, but the data indicates a clear preference for the Spider‑Man offering, pushing it ahead in gross earnings without any disclosed figures.
Industry analysts attribute the shift to the broader appeal of the superhero genre and strong marketing around the "Brand New Day" release, while "Insidious 6" continues to draw genre‑specific fans.
