Southwest monsoon starts withdrawing from Jharkhand, IMD reports

The India Meteorological Department said that recent satellite and ground observations indicate the southwest monsoon is pulling back from Jharkhand. The monsoon, which entered the state in early June, now shows clear signs of withdrawal.\n\nMeteorologists note that the retreat usually brings a gradual decline in rainfall, and the coming weeks are expected to see reduced precipitation across the region. This transition is closely watched by farmers and local authorities to adjust agricultural plans and water‑resource management.\n\nThe department will continue to release daily weather bulletins and issue advisories to help mitigate any impact of the changing monsoon pattern on the state’s economy and daily life.
