Potters in South Tripura are grappling with a financial crunch as Diwali approaches, threatening their livelihoods and the region's traditional craft.
Potters in South Tripura, a region known for its traditional clay crafts, are facing a severe financial crisis as the Diwali festival approaches.
The demand for decorative pots and figurines typically rises during the festive season, but rising costs of raw materials and limited access to credit have made it difficult for artisans to produce and sell their wares.
The financial strain threatens the livelihoods of individual potters and the preservation of the craft that has been passed down through generations in the area.
