Sonia Gandhi Says Voters Are Recognising Congress’s Setbacks, Remains Optimistic

Sonia Gandhi, the veteran leader of the Indian National Congress, recently conveyed optimism about the party’s prospects despite a series of electoral setbacks.
She observed that a growing segment of the electorate appears to be aware of the damage the party has suffered, suggesting that this recognition could pave the way for renewed support.
Gandhi stressed that Congress will concentrate on rebuilding its organisational base and presenting a credible alternative to the ruling coalition, urging members to remain united.
Political analysts note that the party’s fortunes have declined in recent elections, but her remarks signal a strategic shift toward regeneration.
The statement comes ahead of upcoming state assembly polls, where Congress hopes to test its revived appeal.
