Sobhita Dhulipala Says She Chooses Roles Centered on Women

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, actress Sobhita Dhulipala explained that she deliberately looks for characters that give women narrative priority. She said the decision to focus on female‑centric stories emerged organically rather than from a calculated career plan.

Dhulipala highlighted that several of her recent projects have explored women's perspectives, allowing her to portray diverse experiences beyond conventional tropes. By aligning with scripts that foreground women, she aims to contribute to a broader shift in how female protagonists are written and received in Indian cinema.

She added that while the industry is still evolving, the growing appetite for authentic, women‑led narratives encourages actors to be more selective. Dhulipala’s approach reflects a conscious effort to support stories that empower women without compromising artistic integrity.
