Police investigators in India have closed the case of a teacher couple’s murder after a slipper left at the crime scene proved pivotal. The footwear was recovered during a thorough search of the victim’s residence and was later matched to a suspect’s pair through forensic analysis.
The match led authorities to a suspect who was apprehended shortly thereafter. He is currently in custody and faces charges related to the homicide.
The victims, both teachers, were found dead in their home. The investigation revealed no prior threats or indications of a planned attack, making the case a shocking incident for the local community.
Law enforcement officials said the slipper’s discovery was a key turning point that allowed them to identify and arrest the perpetrator, bringing closure to the families involved.
