A decomposed body was recovered from the mud of a river near Swami Narayan Factory in Sikandra, Dausa district. The remains were identified as Amar Singh Bairwa of Dolika village, who had been missing since August, and his relatives suspect foul play.
Police in the Sikandra police station area of Dausa district recovered a skeletal body from the mud of a river close to the Swami Narayan Factory on Tuesday. The discovery follows a missing‑person report filed in August for a 45‑year‑old resident of Dolika village.
Forensic officials examined the remains and confirmed the identity as Amar Singh Bairwa, a local farmer who was last seen in early August. The investigation team documented the location, noting that the riverbank is known for seasonal flooding and accumulation of debris.
Bairwa's family, upon learning of the find, expressed grief and immediately alleged that the death was not accidental. They have demanded a thorough homicide probe, urging authorities to consider the possibility of foul play. The police have registered a murder case and are awaiting further forensic results to determine the cause of death.
Local officials have appealed for community cooperation, requesting anyone with information about the missing man’s last movements to come forward. The case remains under active investigation, with the district superintendent overseeing the inquiry.
