Six Arrested in Bihar After Viral Video Shows Alleged Molestation, Police Reveal Alcohol Link

Following a viral video, police in Darbhanga district raided Karpuri village and detained six suspects accused of molesting a woman, also uncovering a link to alcohol consumption.
Police in Bihar, acting on instructions from SP Arvind Pratap Singh, conducted a coordinated raid across five police stations, including Karpuri village in Darbhanga district, after a video alleging the molestation of a woman went viral online.
The operation led to the arrest of six individuals identified as Vikas Kumar Sharma, Rahul Kumar, Avdesh Passwan, Rambabu Saini, Chotu Passwan and ward member Dilip Ram.
Investigators said the probe also revealed the suspects' involvement in alcohol consumption, adding a narcotics dimension to the case.
All six detainees are currently in police custody while further inquiries determine the full scope of the alleged offenses and any additional charges.
Authorities have not disclosed the victim's identity, and the matter is being pursued under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
