The State Election Commission of Sikkim announced that individuals whose names were omitted from the final Supplementary Electoral Roll (SIR) can file an appeal within the next 15 days, Chief Electoral Officer Raj Yadav said in a press briefing.
The final SIR, released ahead of the upcoming local body elections, is the definitive list of eligible voters. Those who find their names missing are required to submit a written appeal along with any supporting documents to the commission's office before the deadline.
The commission has warned that appeals received after the 15‑day window will not be considered, and it will verify each submission before making any amendments to the roll. Voters are urged to check the published list promptly to avoid disenfranchisement.
