The upcoming Cooch Behar Trophy Plate match between Sikkim Under‑19s and Meghalaya Under‑19s is scheduled to take place at Rangpo from 3 to 6 December 2026. The tournament, organised by the BCCI, provides a platform for young cricketers from the northeastern states to compete at a national level.
Sikkim’s squad, which has shown steady improvement in recent domestic competitions, will look to build on their experience from the previous season’s Plate group. Meghalaya, known for its talent pool in the region, aims to challenge the hosts and secure a win in the multi‑day fixture.
The match will be played over four days, offering both teams ample opportunity to showcase batting depth and bowling variety. The venue, Rangpo, is a popular ground in West Bengal that has hosted several inter‑state matches in the past.
Cricket enthusiasts and local supporters are expected to turn up in large numbers, as the event is part of the BCCI’s initiative to promote cricket in the northeastern states. The outcome of the encounter will influence the standings in the Plate group of the Cooch Behar Trophy.
