Sikkim to Host 49th Junior National Badminton Championship

Sikkim has been selected to host the 49th Junior National Badminton Championship, a key event in India’s sporting calendar. The tournament will bring together the country’s best under‑age talent to compete in a series of matches that will test skill and stamina. The state’s premier badminton venue, located in the capital city, will be upgraded to meet national standards for the event. Officials say the competition will run for a week, featuring group stages and knockout rounds. The hosting decision is part of a broader effort to promote sports tourism in the Himalayan state.
