Sikkim is set to host a week-long adventure tourism festival starting November 1, covering all six districts to promote the state's outdoor activities.
The state of Sikkim is preparing to host a significant week-long adventure tourism festival that will commence on November 1. This event marks a strategic effort to showcase the diverse outdoor recreational opportunities available across the Himalayan state.
Unlike previous events that may have been concentrated in specific hubs, this festival will extend its reach to all six districts of Sikkim. The comprehensive coverage aims to ensure that adventure enthusiasts can explore various terrains and activities throughout the state's geography.
The initiative is expected to boost local tourism infrastructure and provide a platform for local guides and service providers. By spreading the event across multiple districts, the organizers hope to distribute the economic benefits of tourism more evenly among different communities in the region.
The festival is anticipated to attract both domestic and international tourists who are keen on high-altitude adventures, contributing to the state's growing reputation as a premier destination for outdoor sports.
