Shreyas Iyer's maiden T20I century steers India to eight-wicket win over West Indies

Shreyas Iyer reached a personal milestone by scoring his maiden T20 International century, a hundred runs that formed the backbone of India's chase. His innings, marked by a blend of aggression and composure, came at a crucial juncture as India pursued the target set by the West Indies.

India completed the run‑chase with eight wickets in hand, the margin reflecting the dominance of Iyer's knock. While other batsmen contributed useful runs, it was Iyer's sustained partnership that steadied the innings and ensured a smooth finish.

The victory not only adds a win to India's series tally but also underscores Iyer's growing stature in the limited‑overs format. The performance will likely cement his place in the side as the team looks ahead to upcoming fixtures.
