India’s batting mainstay Shreyas Iyer praised fast‑bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar for providing the experience that the national side’s attack has lacked.
Veteran batsman Shreyas Iyer spoke about the impact of fast‑bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar, saying his experience fills a gap that India’s bowling unit has been missing. Iyer’s comments came after India’s recent international engagement, where the pace attack struggled to maintain consistency.
Kumar, who has been part of the Indian side for several years, brings a blend of swing, control and tactical awareness that younger bowlers can learn from. According to Iyer, his presence on the field not only steadies the bowling line‑up but also adds a strategic edge in crucial phases of the game.
The endorsement underscores the team’s reliance on seasoned campaigners to guide a relatively young bowling group. As India prepares for upcoming series, Kumar’s experience is expected to play a pivotal role in stabilising the attack and enhancing overall performance.
