The actress acknowledged facing criticism over a controversial ‘Eetha’ line and said directors frequently scold her for it.
Mumbai-based actress Shraddha Kapoor said she is regularly reprimanded by film directors as she navigates the criticism surrounding a dialogue that includes the word “Eetha.”
The line, which appeared in her latest release, sparked a wave of negative reactions on social media, with many users calling it offensive.
Kapoor, addressing the issue in a recent interview, said the repeated scolding reflects the pressure actors face when a single phrase becomes a public flashpoint.
She added that she is focusing on her work and hopes the controversy will subside as audiences engage with the film’s broader narrative.
Industry observers note that such disputes often highlight the fine line between creative expression and cultural sensitivities in Indian cinema.
